COVID-19 Hotline, 2020-21

Hotline Update

During the 2020-21 school year, Albemarle County Public Schools (ACPS) operated a COVID-19 hotline in an effort to assist our students, employees and families with hardships faced due to COVID-19. We were glad to be of help to the many community members who used this service.

As our community begins to recover from the turbulence and uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, ACPS would like to continue to be of service to our community members in need. As we move into the new 2021-22 school year, while we will no longer operate our COVID-19 hotline, ACPS encourages students, employees and families who are in need of resources or assistance to reach out to their school principal, school counselor, or supervisor for support.

For Employees: Should I report to work?

If you are an ACPS employee who is questioning whether or not to report to work, please refer to the following contact information:

Transportation, Child Nutrition & Building Services employees: Please call 434-249-2426 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday-Friday.
School-based employees: Please call your school nurse.
All other school division employees: Please call the ACPS COVID-19 Coordinator, Eileen Gomez, at 434-249-4625 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
